Our history

In the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, amidst rolling hills and ancestral vineyards, stands Vall da Nogueirinha. Since its inception in the 1980s, this estate has been an ode to hard work and passion for viticulture, dedicating its entire production to the marketing of grapes for Port Wine.
Carefully planted on steep slopes, the vineyards of Vall da Nogueirinha defy the adverse terrain conditions but are rewarded with grapes of exceptional quality. It was in 2020 that we decided to venture into the production of Douro DOC wines. Under the guidance of our Enologist, each vine is treated with the respect and attention it deserves, ensuring a harvest that reflects the true character of the land.
In this scenario of natural beauty and rooted tradition, Vall da Nogueirinha wine is born, an authentic expression of the Douro terroir. From the first buds to the moment of harvest, each stage of the process is carried out with precision, resulting in wines that captivate the senses and tell the unique story of this special place.

The landscapes of the Douro are breathtaking, with rolling hills covered with vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see. The terraced slopes, or stone terraces, that support the vineyards are a testimony to the hard work and ingenuity of its farmers over the centuries.

Along the riverbanks, you'll find picturesque villages and historic cities such as Peso da Régua, Pinhão, and Lamego, where you can explore ancient cathedrals, imposing castles, and monuments with centuries of history.
In the heart of the Douro, producers open their doors to curious visitors, offering wine tastings and tours of their centuries-old wineries. It's a unique opportunity to learn about the art of viticulture and winemaking while enjoying breathtaking views of the vineyards.
In addition to port wine, the Douro also produces high-quality red and white wines, many of which have received international recognition.
